Gourmet Pork Burgers Served at MC Wok Miri

MC Wok makes fresh pork patties everyday and add variations of sauces and condiments to add new twists to their burgers.

So if you fancy yourself a burger connoisseur, why not pay them a visit?

The Food:

Extreme

Out of all the burgers we had, this stood out the least in terms of looks BUT make no mistake, the taste was full of impact! The patty was seasoned and grilled perfectly as it retains the sweet porky taste AND its juiciness and if that isn’t enough the smoked bacon was super oomph!

I personally love smoked bacon so I might be bias with this particular burger but the smoked bacon was DELICIOUS, juicy, just the right amount of smokiness and adds an extra layer of texture to the burger. The burger is also topped with natural cheddar for that mild saltiness and tangy-ness you wont get from just salt. As for the sauce, I would recommend their BBQ sauce which they make from scratch rather than the store bought.

Nori

Do you love wasabi or a Japanese themed food in particular? Well MC’s Wok serves a Japanese themed burger as well called the Nori. This burger is packed with the umami flavour which can be found in most Japanese cuisine.

It comes with the juicy pork patty, a sunny side up that leaks yolks when cut or bitten into (always a sight to see), wasabi mayo sauce and topped with both seawed flakes and cheddar to create a party in your mouth. The wasabi mayo maybe a bit too strong or too much for some, so don’t be shy to ask for less or sauce on the side!

Flaming

If you’re looking for something with a bit more heat to it, worry not as they have the flaming burger. This burger is surprisingly good ( for people like me who can’t take spicy stuff anyway) they use a super secret homemade spicy bbq sauce which has an addictive taste.

It isn’t extremely spicy but it makes you come back for more and more trying to solve the mystery of the sauce! And the crispy hash brown that comes with it? It adds more dimension to the frustratingly addictive burger with its crispiness.

“Cheeseland” (Image taken by Borneo Foodie)

Cheeseland

Bet the name got you perked up didn’t it? Just like the name suggests its full of cheese, so you’d get that ooey-gooey-ness if you eat into it immediately. It also comes with their juicy patty, topped with nori flakes for extra umami-ness, a crunchy cheddar cheese tuile ( which is a crispy baked cheddar cheese + flour) at the bottom for presentation, texture and a slight tangy saltiness. Cheese can be a bit too rich in taste for some so I recommend (the Chef actually recommended ) the black pepper sauce for this as the spice can cut into the taste and make it much more enjoyable to eat.

Cheesy Bacon Fries

Fries covered with bacon and cheese, what more could you ever need? The name is as tasty as it sounds so make sure you try it out!
