5 MUST-TRY Beef Noodle Spots in Miri You Cannot Miss!

On rainy days, I sometimes crave for a bowl of warm beef soup with noodles. Imagine, those tenderized beef cooked to perfection, melting in your mouth! Or perhaps the indescribable texture when chewing onto beef tripe paired with some flavoursome broth! One word for sure, SATISFYING! In Miri, it’s pretty hard to find a place that serves a good bowl of Beef Noodle but don’t worry, I’ve got you covered!

Here is my list of 5 MUST-TRY Beef Noodle Spots in Miri:

1. Beef Noodle @Nancy Beef Noodle

Firstly, a corner shop located somewhere opposite Permaisuri Shopping Mall called Nancy Beef Noodle, serves one of the best Beef Noodles I have tasted in Miri. This place has been very much the local’s favourite for many years because of their great tasting beef broth paired with some Mee.

I normally order up their basic Beef Noodle set (economy serving) whereby you get a bowl of their clear beef soup consisting of several beef cuts and crunchy bean sprouts. Then, it is being garnished off with some aromatic fried garlic bits and Chinese coriander which elevates the flavours even more.

Let’s not forget about the plate of silky noodles. Those perfectly cooked Mee being drenched in the light soy sauce seasoning complements very well with the soup. There is also the option to upsize the regular bowl serving, to their Beef Noodle served in a Hot Pot. Perfect if you’re up to treat yourself for the day!

Aside from that, they also serve other food items which are worth mentioning such as their Laksa, Seafood Noodles, Mee Jawa and also their Fish Porridge which apparently is one of their popular items.

2. Ngiu Chap Kon Lou Mee @Hiong Ngiu Chap

Kah Hiong Ngiu Chap, is a no stranger to Mirians as it is one of the famous places to have some comforting bowl of Beef Noodle. There are two branches in Miri, one located at Lutong area (opposite MYY Mall) and another one at Marina.

Their menu ranges from everything beef which includes Ngiu Chap Mee and Stew Meat Beef Ball Mee. My personal favourite would definitely be the Ngiu Chap Kon Lou Mee because I like my noodles separated from the beef soup. That way I can enjoy the flavours of the two dishes individually.

They also have the option of having both the Slices of Beef and Stew Meat combined together with Mee. Those beef slices cut perfectly thin, not too chewy when endeavouring it. Those delicate radish chunks were cooked well, soft when eaten.

3. Beef with Homemade Noodle @Taiwan Restaurant

Next on the list serving up a lavishing bowl of beef noodles is Miri Taiwan Restaurant which is also located nearby Permaisuri Shopping Mall. This place has been opened for almost a decade now and things have remained unchanged over the years including their interior deco. There’s definitely a nostalgic feel when dining in here.

What’s good here that customers would come back for more? It is without a doubt, their delicious Beef Noodles. My personal favourite is their Beef with Homemade Noodle. However, there is another option on the menu for you to try out which is their Hong-Shao Beef Tendon Noodle which costs around RM 18 per bowl. Both of these dishes have a distinctive taste, the perfect type of food providing warmth to your soul.

Another dish I recommend you to try is their Pan-Fried Dumplings which is one of the few places in Miri that does it well. Their dumplings are always nicely wrapped with generous amount of fillings that may have you longing for more!

5. Curry Beef Noodle @99 Café

Recently, my friend recommended me a place called 99 Café, located at Boulevard Commercial Centre Miri that serves Beef Noodle with a curry-based soup. This seems rather special to me as other places usually use clear or dark-coloured beef broth. Thus, I had to try it out myself!

The noodles tasted rather silky and smooth, which glides down your throat easily. It was not too chewy at all, paired very well with those generous amount of beef slices that has been soaking up the curry soup. Those finely chopped fresh spring onions being garnished on top gives that touch of greenness, making the whole dish look very appetizing. Be careful not to salivate over these photos! Haha!

From what I know of, the stall also sells food items such as the regular Beef Mee, Beef Tripe Mee and Beef Tripe Soup for the more clear taste of the meat itself if you’re a Beef lover.
