Established in 2006, Ceylonese Restaurant offers delicious authentic Northern Indian, Sri Lankan and Malaysian dishes. An interesting fact about Ceylonese Restaurant is that they are the largest amount of cheese user (restaurant category) with a monthly usage of 2 tons of cheese (cheddar+ mozzarella) exclusively sponsored by Anchor! Now that is some serious amount of cheese!

Let’s get down to business and see what’s good in Ceylonese Restaurant, as recommended by the owner himself.

We started off with their famous Banana Cheese. The amount of cheese on this is very generous, be sure to finish it all! It was an absolute delight to eat. What more can be said by these banana fritters and cheese pairing, other than looking and tasting equally amazing!

As the name suggests, you can already expect what is coming from this dish. We had the help of the owner to demonstrate how cheesy this naan can be, and we were nothing short of impressed.

This Double Extra Cheese Tarik naan tastes amazing, exactly what you would hoped it to be! You should definitely share it with a few friends, unless you are up for the task of eating it all by yourself.

Which I highly doubt any of us can. I highly recommend their Cheese Naan options, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside! Pair it with the curry that comes with it for a taste that will make you crave for more!

Next, we had the chance to indulge in their Lamb Rogan Josh dish. “Rogan Josh” is a type of Indian curry distinguished by its thick, flavourful red sauce and tender meat. The lamb shank is so soft that it melts in your mouth. It is complimented by the red curry that has just a hint of spiciness to it. You can opt to pair it with their Briyani!
