The Legendary Kampua Mee in Sibu

As Sarawakians, we are proud of our Kampua Mee. It’s one of the must try dishes when you visit Sarawak. This dish is commonly served in coffee shops and locals normally have it for breakfast. Sibu is definitely one of the many places where you can find really good Kampua Mee.

This place has been serving Kampua Mee for 18 years and has been the local’s favorite for many years. Besides Kampua Mee, they are also famous for their “Yun Tun”, a type of dumpling. The serving size is huge and is very filling for one person.

In terms of the taste, you can’t ask for more. It’s everything you are looking for in a plate of Kampua Mee except better! It’s served with mince pork and char siew slices. You can also have the option of changing the pork meat to “Yun Tun” so you can have the best of both worlds!

Be prepare to wait for a table as sometimes this place is filled with locals, making it hard to find a place to seat especially during peak hours. However, the wait will definitely worth it. Your trip to Sibu is not complete if you do not try the Kampua Mee at Soon Hock Cafe & Restaurant! So if ever happen to be in Sibu, make sure you add this place to your food hunt itinerary.
